Budget Energy secures £1m funding from Whiterock Capital Partners

Budget Energy, the Northern Irish low cost energy company established in 2011 has successfully raised £1 million in a growth capital funding round. Whiterock Capital Partners, the fund managers for the £50 million Northern Ireland Growth Loan Fund, provided the capital, which will be used to create 50 jobs over the next five years as the company seeks to increase its customer base from 40,000 to 100,000.

Craig Holmes, who advised Budget Energy on the funding round noted that “it is extremely encouraging to see a young, innovative, local business successfully raising the necessary capital for job creation and sustainable growth. This deal provides further evidence of the availability of funding for growth-focused Northern Irish companies.”
