A Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Chartered Accountant, James specialises in Corporate Finance, Business Restructuring and Forensic Accounting assignments and has previously worked for both Deloitte and BDO.

James has extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, being involved in a large range of project based business recovery and corporate finance work. As a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, James also leads a number of formal Administration, Receivership, Bankruptcy, and liquidation appointments and has worked on some of the most complex corporate failures in Northern Ireland.

Some of James notable formal insolvency appointments include:

Acting as Partnership Administrator to a TB Lyttle & Sons t/a Hanna & Browne;
Acting as Administrator to James Balfour & Sons Limited; ­
Acting as Partnership Administrator to the Taylor Gallery; and
Acting a trustee in bankruptcy to a number of complex bankruptcy appointments.

James also has particular specialisms in forensic accounting and financial investigations and has provided expert witness testimony in a variety of litigation scenarios. He has also acted for a number of large financial institutions in the recovery of assets.

James is an active member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, the association of Business Recovery Professionals and the Chartered Institute of Accountants in Ireland.
