Orthoderm Ltd, a private healthcare clinic based in Hillsborough Co. Down, has been sold to the Affidea Group.
Founded in 2007, Orthoderm is a leading provider of clinical and medical services across a range of 17 specialties across dermatology, cardiology, plastic surgery as well as pain management and GP services. Orthoderm was founded and owned by Michael and Elizabeth Eames. They will remain as Directors of the business.
Affidea Group, is a leading European provider of diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services. With this acquisition, Affidea builds further on its strategic vision to broaden its business model and add new outpatient care services that can complement its portfolio in patient centric care delivery.
HNH acted as Lead Corporate Finance and Tax Advisor for Orthoderm. HNH Managing Director Craig Holmes commented “HNH were delighted to act for the Company on this transaction. This acquisition continues Affidea’s investment into the NI healthcare market following their previous acquisition of Northern MRI in Belfast, where HNH also acted as Lead Advisor.”

A&L Goodbody in Belfast, led by Peter Stafford, acted as legal advisors to the Company. Affidea were advised by Flynn O’Driscoll in Dublin.
