We are hiring – Transaction Services Manager/Associate Director

Due to continued growth in our Transaction Services practice, we are now looking to recruit a Manager or Associate Director to our growing team.   • Belfast or Edinburgh / Hybrid Working

The role

The successful candidate will be involved in the provision of transaction services to a wide range of corporate and private equity clients in NI, ROI and GB.  The firm offers a route to a more varied accounting niche in the following areas:

  • Buy-side due diligence
  • Sell-side due diligence
  • Financial and commercial appraisal
  • Business planning

You will work closely with our transaction tax team and, when appropriate, with our corporate finance and business modelling offerings.  The firm offers a full range of corporate finance services and you will also have the opportunity to develop your career in other areas of corporate finance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Engagement scoping and project set-up
  • Management of project team and fieldwork and the preparation and presentation of the end client deliverable
  • Building and developing long-term sustainable client relationships
  • Participation in broader business development activities, to include identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the practice, in terms of both client portfolio and service offering.

What skills / qualifications will you need?

  • CAI/ICAS (or equivalent) qualified;
  • Experience of working in due diligence and/or corporate finance at manager level for 2+ years;
  • Strong understanding of the financial due diligence process and overall transaction lifecycle;
  • Experience of working on private equity transactions (desirable but not essential);
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage client expectations;
  • Highly competent technical accounting skills, coupled with strong commercial awareness;
  • Confident with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
